BBC Radio 4: Today

LONDON, 6 December 2010 - World-leading gold ownership service online BullionVault featured this morning on the BBC's flagship news and current affairs programme, Today on national Radio 4.

Announcing the company's sixth year of strong growth, and asked why an increasing number of private individuals are finding gold attractive, ?It's about everything else,? said head of research Adrian Ash to Today's business editor, Adam Shaw.

?In particular, gold is about what people are trying to turn away from or hedge against...Primarily now, [that's] currency devaluation and sovereign debt default.?

Also talking about the small-bar and coin market, professional 'wholesale' storage and security costs, Adrian rejected claims that gold prices are now in a bubble.

?In terms of investable wealth worldwide...if you consider there's now $90 trillion of bonds in the market...gold is very much smaller chunk of the world's money right now.?

You can listen to the interview for the next 7 days via BBC Radio 4's Today programme website. (Interview starts at 2 hours, 43 minutes.)
